Dr. Jewel "Dee" Newsom D.V.M
I’m Jewel Newsom! A lot of this community may know me as Dee. I was born and raised here in Paris, TX where I learned that small town tradition is what I love most.
After high school, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Texas A&M University of Commerce (now East Texas A&M University). I then completed my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University!
I started out practicing mixed animal in Corsicana, and soon moved back to Paris. My husband, Dakota, and I realized country living in Paris is where we belong. We have since welcomed a little girl, Sutton, into this world. You may frequently see her at the clinic - family is a big deal around HVC!
Owning a practice was always a goal of mine, but the true goal was to service my community with the best veterinary care I can offer. I hope to eventually bring large animal care in the future to HVC.
